Spanish Influenza Graph
In the top graph you can see the bathtub curve of deaths from the 1918 Spanish Influenza. The flu behaved typicaly by killing largely the very young and old, but also note the peak in 20-40 year olds. The bottom graph shows the impact the influenza had on the overall life expectancy. Impressive.
Although some parts of this blog may be based on real life events, the patients represented are either completely fictional characters, or the details of the clinical circumstances are so drastically changed that a connection should never be made with an actual person or event. Those seeking to make such a connection would do better to look inside their own hearts and in their own communities because this blog is about a large part of America
